Andy Hemmings, Sales Director

With many years in the prepress arena, working in a variety of key roles, Andy has gained a broad experience in understanding customers' requirements both in service and equipment purchases.

His in-depth hardware, software and firmware knowledge is based on many years working as an engineer at prepress pioneers, Crosfield Electronics and then Hyphen, the later role involving state-of-the-art RIPping technologies and production workflows.

Andy then transferred to a sales role so that he could harness his technical knowledge to help customers make the right choice when investing in their pre-press equipment. He continues to fulfil this passion as Sales Director of Marlowe Digital.

Andy Hardy, Service Manager

Andy's broad experience of a wide range of printing technologies from photocopiers to digital presses gives him an immediate insight into the best way to solve customer problems. He has instilled his proactive approach on his servicing team to ensure fast, practical response with a low price tag.

Andy is also very knowledgeable with conventional equipment such as process cameras, printing-down frames, processors and film workflows, having joined DRG Litho Supplies in the mid-eighties as a service engineer. This gave him the broadest foundation in understanding all facets of the printing industry as well as the ability to identify problems with any page workflow, analogue, direct or digital.

Subsequent roles as Customer Service Manager at the electronics division of Litho Supplies, where he also trained as an Indigo Digital Press engineer, continued to expand Andy's experience of both print and people management. He joined Marlowe in 2010 after a short spell as support manager at Highwater Designs and now leads our team of skilled engineers with enthusiasm and motivation, always with an eye on customer satisfaction and 'going the extra mile' when required.

Darren Eliot, Managing Director

Darren has broad business experience having started his career in accountancy working for London Transport and progressing through various promotions to become Systems Manager for one of the company's bus subsidiaries. Here his responsibility involved the strategy and preparation for privatisation of London Buses in 1994.

Through his company's acquisition Darren moved to Stagecoach, a FTSE 100 company, where he was able to exploit his growing IT knowledge, being promoted in 1999 to IT Manager - UK Bus. In this role, he had total responsibility for IT within the UK Bus sector of Stagecoach and the added challenge of leading a £15m programme across all of the business to centralise and update IT solutions.

In 2004, Darren set up as an independent consultant with Marlowe as one of his clients. He soon saw a great opportunity at Marlowe to put new strategies and structures into the business to enable it to deliver a more responsive and cost-effective service to customers. In 2007, he purchased the company and continues in his quest to deliver the best value prepress support in the industry.
